Hmmm…well, my Sensei has never been in a full on fight. A guy started swinging at him once, and for about a minute my Sensei dodged every blow, knowing that if he really wanted to, his attacker would be severely injured. He also made the rounds, doing competitions and winning a whole bunch of trophies….I’d say, the best Sensei is one who is open to everything, who wants to learn as much as teach, and know that everything has it’s place, such as both tradition and evolution. I am lucky that my Sensei is just like that.
